Re-Assembling Reality

This method was invented by Max Ernst by pasting together fragments of given or found pictures. By using images that had similar 'look' he was able to create 'illusionistic' new pictures, that were bizarre, fantastic, dream-like, ironic, or grotesque.

The Purpose of the Game

This game is to challenge our creative side by giving us limited resources. In this game we gave out about 8 magazine cut-outs, the student got out a clean sheet of paper and glue the different images together to create or recreate an image of real life. The purpose of the game was to see how the students would use the cut outs magazines to create a scene, and by pictures posted, we could see how creative they were.
